"Catwalk"

My husband got my son on his first dirtbike when he was 7 and here he is 6 years later. Soon after buying my son's bike we all got bikes so we've been riding for about 6 years except for my husband who had one as a child. Although I love trail riding you will never see me doing this! He gets so excited when he pulls off a new trick and it makes me proud of him but I think he has taken a few years off of my life.

UFO Progress

Not as much progress as I would have liked but it's progress. I can't wait to have it finished and see it all together. Each stripe is 24 rows of boring endless garter stitch but it makes good tv knitting. :0)

Valentine Bag for My Little Valentine

A little Valentine bag for my daughter to collect all her little goodies at school. Pattern is Simplicity 9963. I've used this pattern many times, it's fast and simple. Fabric came from Walmart last year.

UFO Resurrection Challenge

This blanket that I started back in May will be my first of many UFO's to complete during this year long challenge. The pattern is from Lion Brand (they don't seem to have the pattern on their site anymore, bad sign) and the yarn is Homespun also from Lion Brand. It will eventually be an American flag. The blue background for the stars is finished and I have just started on the first stripe. I am hoping to have this off my list and on my husband's lap by the end of the month, we'll see. I'll keep you posted!

Amy Butler's Covington Bag

I was really looking forward to sewing this bag. From the first time I seen the pattern I thought I had to have that bag. After making it through very wordy pattern instructions I'm not really happy with it. The final product looks the same as the pattern picture and it was easy to put together but from the side it's very flat or should I say skinny? Anyways I have been using it but I don't think I will make it again.

Diagonal Baby Blanket

How do you make an icky yarn pretty? Cover it up with a cute yarn. I knitted this for my 9-year-old daughter using Red Heart's Lofty and Knit Pick's Butterfly. The pattern was really simple but the Butterfly yarn really made it cute and gave it a neat texture. I haven't measured it but it's about the size of a throw for her.

Simplicity 4568

This shirt is from the Lizzie McGuire Collection. I made a size 8 for my 8-year-old DD. Fabric is a woven cotton from Hancock's quilting section. This pattern went together very well and the fit is perfect. The only thing I do not like is the facing, which I will not use next time.
